According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, Apple is all set to announce a major update with iOS 16 for iPhone’s notifications system and health tracking abilities at WWDC. Gurman stated that “On the iOS side, I’m looking for some fairly significant enhancements across the board, including an update to notifications and new health-tracking features”.
Now, whatever he says doesn’t make much sense as the language is quite vague.
Apple changed the design of the notifications panel in iOS 15 and included a new function that grouped alerts. The function then sends them out throughout the day. Hence, it’s possible Apple is headed on that route even further.
Moreover, Apple fans should not get too enthusiastic about the potential of a major makeover, according to Gurman.
In the newsletter, he added, “I’m not expecting an end-to-end redesign of iOS’s interface, even though it hasn’t changed much since iOS 7 nearly a decade ago”.
This is plausible, given that Apple updated its operating system with the addition of widgets at the end of 2020.
It is worth mentioning that Apple rarely changes the look of its operating system. On the contrary, the company likes focusing on new features and privacy protections. Therefore, it’s unlikely that the entire OS will be redesigned this year.

What will happen with other Apple OS besides iOS?
Gurman offered news on the tablet OS “There might be a new iPadOS multitasking interface”. “The Apple Watch, meanwhile, may get major upgrades to activity and health tracking”.
Furthermore, iOS 16 might get new health-tracking functions.
Besides, additional health capabilities such as blood pressure monitoring, blood sugar monitoring, and a body temperature sensor have been rumored for the Apple Watch for quite some time.
