Twitter is working hard to boost its revenue. Recently, the company rolled out the Blue membership in the hope to generate more revenue. However, this move resulted in havoc as users could pay for the Blue tick and become whoever they want to become. In other words, users can create verified accounts of important entities like government and companies. As a result, Musk has taken a backseat and temporarily suspended the Blue tick subscription. You won’t have to wait long, though. On December 2nd, Twitter Blue will return in new variations.

Musk stated that the new blue tick would be available to everyone, “celebrity or not,” but with a twist. Now, Twitter will roll out blue tick for individuals, gold ticks for companies, and grey ticks for governments. He promised to give a more thorough explanation the following week.

His last attempt to redesign verification was put on hold earlier this month when it resulted in a large number of phoney accounts. Anyways, Musk believes that overhauling verification is vital to lower annoying automated accounts on the site and generate much-needed income through subscriptions.

Twitter Blue to go live from December 2 again

Elon Musk claims that Twitter Blue would reopen on December 2 with checkmarks in gold, grey, and blue.

Twitter’s authentication process is changing as of December 2. Previously, there was just one blue checkmark; now, there are three: gold, grey, and blue. Elon Musk announced in a Tweet that Twitter will offer a gold checkmark for businesses, a grey checkmark for the government, and a blue checkmark for people (famous or not). He further stated that before the check is activated, all validated accounts will undergo manual authentication.
