Apple is all set for a virtual launch event on Monday, October 18. The company might launch the new MacBook Pro and AirPods models during the launch event. Two reports released before the release have offered us insights into the specifications of MacBook Pro variants. The reports suggest that the base edition of the forthcoming MacBook Pro would have 16GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, an updated webcam, a new charging brick, and a Mini-LED display. On top of that, the new MacBook variants can also come equipped with Apple’s upcoming M1X processor. Plus, the device could feature a display with a 120Hz refresh rate, according to an analyst who gave the information on the Mini-LED screens.

Some details of the next MacBook Pro models have been disclosed by tipster Dylan (@dylandkt). Apple’s new laptops might arrive in 14-inch and 16-inch variants with Mini-LED panels with thinner bezels on all sides. Plus, they might not feature the logo at the bottom of the screen. A 1080p webcam is believed to be included with the screen. The base MacBook Pro models will have 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, according to Dylan.
Additionally, Dylan also notes that the pricing for both MacBook Pro models would be similar. Plus, the new notebooks will come with a new charging brick. According to MacRumors, the next MacBook Pro models are expected to include a MagSafe charging connector. So, you will have to purchase the new charging hardware.
Dylan further adds that the Touch Bar will also be removed from the MacBook Pro models According to reports, the new laptops will include HDMI, an SD card slot, and a MagSafe port. In addition, the tipster claims that functionality for multiple displays would be added.
