Fossil Gen 6 series smartwatch may be unveiled globally today

The U.S based company, Fossil launched its Gen 5 series of smartwatches back in 2019. Now, the company is ready to unveil its Gen 6 series smartwatch today (i.e 30 Aug).

Fossil already set a promotion page of its upcoming Gen 6 series smartwatch on its official site. Though the exact launching date isn’t mentioned there. But an email, first mentioned by droidlife includes a timer that’s suggesting, the launching date will be today.

The device comes when the users are more concerned about their health and fitness. The smartwatch would be a great choice for the users to get important data related to their health. It will make the workouts more enjoyable as well.

The Facebook post which is posted from the company’s official account also suggesting the immediate launch of the device. However, the company didn’t reveal that much about the Fossil Gen 6 watches.

But going through the leaks, we can tell that the new smartwatch would be available in two different sizes of 42mm and 44mm.

Speculated Features of Fossil Gen 6 series smartwatch:

The chipset of the new series is assuming to be the Snapdragon 4100+ which will come with a 1.28-inch of OLED display with an Always-on-Display feature. 

Other features include a water resistance capability of up to 50 meters for the top models. Additionally, 24 hours of battery life with fast charging support is also included with the top models. It is claimed that it can be charged from 0 to 80% in just 30 minutes.

Other benefits that you could get from the GEN 6 series are a SpO2 sensor, a heart-rate monitoring option, and an in-built GPS.

You may confuse whether the brand new Gen 6 series will run Google’s Wear OS or not. As per the rumors, this gen 6 smartwatch will run Wear OS but not the latest Wear OS 3. Leak suggests you will get the new update later.

It is expected to cost between €300-€330 and to go on sale on September 27th.

The Fossil Gen 6 series is coming when Samsung has already launched its Galaxy Watch 4 series which runs the latest Exynos W920 chip.
