LG 42-inch OLED TVs Postponed Until 2022

LG 42-inch OLED

Earlier this year, LG revealed that it will soon start manufacturing 42-inch OLED panels, along with UltraFine OLED Pro panels presumably for less than the 32-inch one. As of now, LG Display produces OLED display panels in sizes, including 48-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch, 77-inch, 83-inch, and 88-inch.

However, LG will start the production of these 42-inch panels in 2022. As per a Korea Economic Daily report, LG will unveil its first 42-inch OLED TVs at CES 2022. The event is set to happen between January 5 and January 8 in Las Vegas. Moreover, LG might promote this screen at PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X owners for its 4K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Overall, the new screen sizes will come out in next year’s OLED TV refreshed models. Specifically, they might arrive in TVs ranging from the A2 to the flagship Z2 models.

Without a doubt, the upcoming 42-inch OLED TV panels will arrive with a cheaper price tag than 55-inch, 65-inch, or 77-inch alternatives from the same series. At the same time, the forthcoming models will offer higher pixel density than the larger 4K models. It will be beneficial for the gamers.

In addition to that, HDTVTest suggests that LG might bring AMD FreeSync Premium, NVIDIA G-Sync, HDMI 2.1, and HDMI VRR to support its new smallest OLED panel.
