LG is getting ready for CES 2022, the company has announced its first-ever UltraGear gaming laptop. For those unfamiliar with UltraGear, it is LG’s gaming lineup. So far, it has been used on monitors. However, the company is now looking to expand its usage to high-end gaming laptops. The company will soon release a gaming laptop with model number-17G90Q.

UltraGear 17G90 specifications
Unsurprisingly, the LG UltraGear 17G90Q will pack some powerful flagship specifications For instance, it will come equipped with the latest 11th Gen Intel H-series processors. However, the company has not revealed, exactly what processor it will feature. But it appears to be the Core i7-11800H. Alongside the processor, it will also feature the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q graphics cards. So, it is clear the device will feature a lot of firepowers to run the latest games. In addition to that, you get up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM with two additional slots alongside 1TB of storage with M.2 slots. Users can expand the RAM as well as storage later.
It is clear from the model number that the laptop will include a 17.3-inch display with Full HD resolution with a refresh rate of 300Hz. The display is an IPS panel with a response time of 1ms when the refresh rate is set to 300Hz. The display offers 99% of sRGB. What’s more, the laptop features a Full HD webcam with support for Windows Hello facial recognition support. This is something that you don’t get to see in every gaming laptop.
The laptop is supported by a 93Wh battery so we are expecting a good battery life. This is something that is expected from an LG laptop. LG claims that the UltraGear 17G90Q is a lightweight gaming laptop with a thickness of around 21.4mm and weighs around 6lbs. Of course, you cannot call it a thin laptop. However, considering that it is a gaming laptop, these weight and thickness specifications are fine.
