Xiaomi is gearing up to release the Xiaomi 12 Pro on April 27th. It appears the company will also release the Xiaomi Pad 5 in India on the same date. The tablet was first released in China in August 2021. Here is everything there is to know.
Xiaomi Pad 5 specifications
The Xiaomi Pad 5 will feature an 11-inch WQXGA display with a 16:10 aspect ratio. It will offer a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz sampling rate, Dolby Vision, and HDR10. Plus, it also has TrueTone True color display and TUV Rheinland low blue light hardware scheme certification.
Under the hood, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 processor with Adreno 640 GPU. Additionally, the device also packs 6GB RAM and up to 256GB of storage.
On the software front, the device will come pre-loaded with Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 custom skin out of the box. Plus, there is an 8720mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

For imaging, it features a single 13MP rear snapper and an 8MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats.
Besides that, it also has Dolby Atmos, USB Type-C audio, and quad speakers. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE (optional) dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C.
What’s more, the company will release another variant- Pad 5 Pro. It is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC coupled with the Adreno 650 GPU. This variant features a 50MP primary sensor and a 5MP depth sensor. It also has an 8MP selfie snapper on the front. Lastly, there is an 8,600mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
Price
As for pricing, the Xiaomi Pad 5 will arrive with starting price of RMB 1,999 (Rs 24,000) for the 6GB + 128GB Wi-Fi version. Whereas the 6GB + 256GB Wi-Fi model will cost RMB 2,299 (Rs 27,600).
