MediaTek has unveiled two new chipsets for flagship 5G devices- the Dimensity 8000 and Dimensity 8100. They both come equipped with octa-core CPUs and share most of their characteristics with Dimensity 9000. What’s more, both the chipsets will appear in several devices from the likes of Realme and Xiaomi in the first quarter of this year.

Availability
According to MediaTek, both the Dimensity 8000 series chipsets will arrive in the market in the first quarter of 2022. However, the company has not shared the details about its release; some OEMs have shared that they will soon start releasing devices equipped with the aforesaid chipsets.
In fact, Realme has revealed that its forthcoming Realme GT Neo 3 is based on Dimensity 8100. The company also said that it will feature 150W fast charging support, which is the first of its kind in the market. In addition to that, Xiaomi has also confirmed its upcoming K50 series will also pack Dimensity 8100.
