MSI has introduced a free update kit for Intel LGA1700 processors with Coreliquid CPU cooling. Although no dates were mentioned in the news release, the form required to apply for a free update kit will only be available on November 4th, which made us wonder why. We swiftly confirmed with our sources that the Intel Alder Lake-S will be released on November 4th. The sales and review embargo has this date tied to it.
Pre-orders will go live a week earlier, directly after the Intel Innovation event, according to Usman Pirzada (Wccftech). The following are the Intel Alder Lake-S embargoes:
- October 27th: Preorders
- 4th of November: Product launch
The 4th of November is a day earlier than the previously predicted November 19th, which could have been the previous date. Either Intel opted to release Alder Lake CPUs sooner than expected, or the rumored release date was inaccurate.
It’s important to note that this deadline is linked to CPU embargoes; we don’t know when compatible motherboards will be available. However, it’s highly likely that they’ll either be accessible now or that the same timeframe will apply to Z690 motherboards.
On November 4th, at least three SKUs will arrive at the scene: the Core i9-12900K, Core i7-12700K, and Core i5-12600K. On the same day, the KF-series without integrated Xe graphics should be available.
