Samsung Exynos 2200 Outperforms Apple Bionic A14 in Graphics

Samsung is launching its next-generation Exynos 2200 flagship chip officially this year, as per the reports. The performance of the chip appears better than the predecessor. And it will be offered with an AMD RDNA architecture GPU. The company is eagerly waiting for this chip to arrive.

Furthermore, the GPU with a codename Voyager of this SoC will make proper use of RDNA2 graphics micro-architecture. This seems to be similar technology as AMD Radeon RX, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5.

Exynos 2200 graphics performance

The report further adds that the benchmark score of the Exynos 2200 is exceptional. The GPU of this chip has appeared on the GFXBench. As of now, its will directly compete against Snapdragon 888 and Apple A14 Bionic. However, they can only run around 120fps.

On top of that, Exynos 2200 also outperforms A14 Bionic in Aztec Ruins test project. Plus, it is worth noting, the chipset will also pack huge CPU upgrade, along with the GPU upgrades. The processor will feature new generation three-cluster architecture. It come equipped with Cortex-X1 super core, three medium Cortex-A78 cores, and 4 Cortex-A55 small cores.

So far, the Exynos 2200 appears to be an extremely powerful SoC, particularly considering its new capabilities. It will directly confront Qualcomm and Apple, against Snapdragon 898 and Apple A15. Moreover, the platform will be compatible with mobile phones, tablets, and PCs, thanks to the combination of new generation technology and AMD RDNA architecture.
