Samsung has revealed details about its forthcoming mobile processor- the Exynos 2200 via a video on Twitter. The official Samsung Twitter handle unveiled the official launch date for the SoC. The chipset will arrive on January 11, 2022. In the Twitter post, the company also indicated the gaming performance of its upcoming Exynos 2200 chipset.
What’s more, Samsung further added that the Exynos 2200 GPU is inspired by AMD’s RDNA 2 tech. The RDNA 2 is already powering the leading gaming consoles out there, including PlayStation and Xbox Series X. Anyways, Samsung taking inspiration from AMD means that the Exynos 2200 might provide console-quality graphics. That said, it is difficult to assume anything, especially when consoles have very high computational power.

How will the Exynos 2200 processor actually perform in the market?
The biggest question in everyone’s mind right now is whether or not Samsung Exynos 2200 will deliver the expected performance. However, one thing is for sure the forthcoming chipset will perform better than Samsung’s last generation of flagship chips. It has been quite a while since Samsung has entered the chipset market. Up till now, the Exynos chipset’s performance is quite disappointing when compared to Snapdragon 888 processors.
AMD introduced the RDNA 2 architecture last year. As previously discussed, the chipset is a part of many high-quality graphics processors, including the likes of Xbox series X, PlayStation 5, and AMD RX6000 series for desktops.
Furthermore, the Exynos 2200 will most likely come packed in Galaxy S22 series. It will be a treat for the customers if the Exynos 2200 manages to beat its rival chips from Apple and Qualcomm.
