Apple has rolled out the iOS 15.4 updates for compatible iPhones. The new update is carrying several new features; including new emojis and the ability to unlock the screen with a mask on. Plus, it will also address several bugs. However, all is not well with the new update, it might also cause quick battery drainage.
According to several users on Twitter and Reddit, the new update has caused their devices to lose battery life much more quickly. The same was reported by Phone Arena and other websites.
Moreover, a Reddit thread has the users divided; some users are suggesting improved battery life while others suggest worse battery life. It is worth mentioning that one user describes the scene as a “horrible battery drain”. In another thread users were seen commenting “draining more than usual”.
However, a pattern hasn’t emerged as of now about which particular iPhones are affected. That said, we have seen quite a few posts mentioning iPhone 13 models while some of them mentioned older variants. One thing is for sure, it is clear that it is not a universal problem with several Reddit threads and Twitter posts reporting better battery life.

At the moment, Apple has asked users to sit tight, in the official response.
