The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series, which may launch next year alongside the Galaxy S22. The Tab S8 series comprises three tablets: The Tab S8, Tab S8+, and Tab S8 Ultra. The day before yesterday, leakster OnLeaks revealed the design of the vanilla Galaxy Tab S8. And yesterday, he’s back with a new set of CAD-based images depicting the Tab S8 Ultra’s design.

The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra sports antenna lines on the back panel. A twin camera arrangement is there in the top-left corner. A magnetic strip to charge the S Pen below that, and the Samsung logo below that.

The Ultra variant, like the vanilla version, features the power button and volume rocker on the right-side frame. And the USB-C connector is there at the bottom with two grilles. Two additional are located on the top to provide surround sound in landscape mode. However, there is no 3.5mm headphone port onboard.

When it comes to the front of the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, things become interesting since the bezels surrounding the screen are shorter than the Tab S8, but the display has a MacBook Pro-style notch that houses a single selfie camera.

Because the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra only has one front-facing camera, Samsung could have gone with a punch-hole display to provide more screen real estate. However, the source claims that these renders aren’t final, so there’s still a chance we’ll see the final version with a punch-hole screen or an entirely different design.

The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra measures 325.8 x 207.9 x 5.4mm and has a 14.6″ diagonal screen. According to previous reports, this is an OLED panel with a resolution of 2,960×1,848 and a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The Tab S8 Ultra is also expected to use the yet to be announced Snapdragon 898 SoC and two memory configurations: 8GB/128GB and 12GB/512GB.

The dual-camera setup on the back may have 13MP and 5MP sensors. The slate also may include two front-facing cameras – 8MP and 5MP – but we only see one in the current images, so we’ll have to wait for further sources to confirm the specs.

A 12,000 mAh battery with 45W charging capabilities will power the complete set, although it’s unclear whether the provided adapter will run that fast or whether you’ll have to buy one separately to attain such charging rates.
