Apple is gearing up to release the iPhone 13 series. The company could reveal the series on September 14 during an online-only launch event. However, nothing can be said for sure as of now, and the same is true for the specifications. Meanwhile, we have been seeing leaks after leaks continuously about the details of the iPhone 13 series for quite some time now. And these leaks have painted quite a rosy picture of the upcoming iPhone series. If they turn out correctly, then every device on the iPhone 13 series might get a LiDAR scanner, and Apple might release a 1TB iPhone variant for the first time. On top of that, iPhones will finally receive the much-awaited autofocus feature for the front camera. Plus, the iPhone 13 series could also feature a smaller notch on the front. Display

Storage
The iPhone 13 could feature storage ranging from 64GB to 512GB, and according to a Wedbush report, we could even get to see a 1TB variant. If this turns out correct, then we will get to see the first iPhone with 1TB of storage.

The modem can be integrated directly with the chipset, resulting in smaller area coverage and enhanced battery life. Plus, the 5G performance of the modem appears decent better than earlier, at it has abilities to combine mmWave and sub-6GHz 5G networks simultaneously.

Furthermore, Ming-Chi Kuo, an Apple analyst, revealed that iPhone 13 Pro’s ultrawide camera will feature autofocus. This is the first iPhone that is going to have this feature. It should offer sharper images. The disappointing thing is this feature won’t make it every iPhone 13 series phone, but all the future iPhones starting with iPhone 14 should have the feature.
In addition to the above reports, a Digitimes reports claims that Apple is increasing its order of VCMs by up to 40%. It will improve camera lenses focus on iPhones.
Besides that, reports also suggest that iPhone 12 Pro Max will feature bigger lenses to let in more light to enhance the low light imaging capabilities of the iPhones.
Lastly, every iPhone on the iPhone 13 series will include a LiDAR scanner. The scanner was earlier limited to Pro models. LiDAR helps with the autofocus and a better AR performance. However, there is no confirmation if iPhone 13 will release during the Apple launch event, but the whole internet is filled with information suggesting it will launch. Moreover, the fact that every year Apple launches the iPhone in September adds plausibility to the leaked information. So, we could actually get to see the launch of the iPhone 13 series on September 17.
When will the phones actually be able for sale? Some reports suggest that the iPhone 13 series might be available for purchase starting September 24, with pre-orders beginning on September 17. Both these dates are also in line with September 14 launch date.
Pricing
As for pricing, we are expecting the iPhone 13 line-up to have the same price tags as that of the iPhone 12 series- $699, $799, $999, and $1,099. Plus, Apple doesn’t tweak a lot with the pricing of its iPhones, which further suggests that the pricing will be similar to iPhone 12.
However, it is essential to note that Apple chip supplier TSMC has recently increased production costs. Hence, it might be the case that Apple increased the pricing of the iPhone 13 series more than expected. However, it is unclear for now if the increase in the production of the chip will have any effect on the pricing of the iPhone 13.
Apple iPhone 13 Models
So far, it appears as if Apple will retain the same size ranges of the iPhone 12 series for the iPhone 13 series. In other words, we are expecting the iPhone 13 line-up to arrive in 4 size variants- the 5.4-inch iPhone 13 mini, a 6.1-inch iPhone 13, a 6.1-inch iPhone 13 Pro, and a 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro. What’s more, seven new iPhone models recently appeared in the regulatory filings with the Eurasian Economic Commission. These seven models could include different configurations of the same model.

There are a lot of different reports on the internet about possible naming conventions that Apple might use for the upcoming iPhone series. However, most of them suggest that Apple will use iPhone 13 as its name, but there are others who suggest it could be named the iPhone 12s.

Apple iPhone 13 design
The Apple iPhone 13 series will feature a smaller notch on the front of the display, one of the most significant design changes, as per the dummy unit. In fact, dummy units managed to get hands-in treatment by Apple Insider, during which the latter demonstrated the biggest possible design changes. These include moving the speakers towards the top of the iPhone, a larger camera module for iPhone 13 Pro, and a diagonal camera arrangement for vanilla iPhone 13 Pro.
