According to recent reports, Apple might cancel the Apple iPhone SE 4 smartphone or at least postpone mass production. The demand for the smartphone is not what Apple was expecting and that is the main reason for the change in plan. However, that is not the only reason.

The other reason appears to be the increased cost of the raw material, which in turn will increase the selling price of the smartphone. This move will also help the company to reduce the cost and invest the money in the new development product.

What’s more, it is not just the iPhone SE models that are not meeting the performance expectations when it comes to sales. There are other devices, including iPhone 13 Mini and its successors with low demand. It appears to be an issue for the company. It also made Apple focus more on the production of the iPhone 14 Pro model due to demand.

Interestingly, the new reports come at a time when we heard good things about the iPhone SE 4 smartphone. There are reviews and leaks that paint a good picture of the smartphone. According to one leak, the device will be something like a “flagship killer” smartphone with a 6.1-inch 720p LCD display. On top of that, it could feature a 3,000mAh battery with support for 20W fast charging and 7.5W wireless charging.

iPhone 14 purported specifications

Under the hood, the smartphone might pack the Apple A16 Bionic processor. It is the same processor that is present on the Apple iPhone 14 Pro series. However, Apple might pack the device with the A15 SoC found on the iPhone 14 lineup.

For imaging, the smartphone could house a single 12MP camera on the back. On the front, it could include a 7MP selfie shooter.

It is worth mentioning that the news about the iPhone SE 4 getting canceled or postponed is not official yet. Anyways, we will get to know more about the matter in the coming day. Plus, we should wait for the official confirmation.
