Apple will replace iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro devices with defective earpiece speakers under Apple’s replacement program. The company manufactured phones with defective speakers in the two variants between October 2020 and April 2021.

When making phone conversations, users have frequently claimed that they are unable to hear sounds from their earpieces.

Apple has already begun replacing the defective earpiece speakers for the two models of iPhone, according to an official statement. And Apple urges owners of such devices to use any of the available channels to service their devices at no additional cost. According to Apple, only a tiny fraction of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro units may suffer audio difficulties as a result of a probable component failure on the receiver module of their smartphones. If the receiver on your iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro does not transmit sound during a call, you may be one of the few who has the issue, and your device may be eligible for repair.

How to get the service:

The company advised their customers to back up their phone data in any way possible to protect themselves against data loss.

Apple does not provide any statistics on the number of defective speaker modules. The company has requested the owners who fall under this category to contact the Apple Support Centre or any of the Apple Authorized Service Providers. The service is free, and it will only cover smartphones with unbroken displays. Any item that arrives with a defective screen must first fix the screen before it can be fixed.
