ASUS Has Announced Android 13 Update Schedule

The Zenfone series is one of ASUS’s well-known smartphone models, and the business also produces high-end and luxurious gaming smartphones under the ASUS ROG sub-brand. Both of these companies- ASUS and ROG have now disclosed their intentions to provide Android 13 software updates for their handsets.

The Android 13 upgrade rollout schedule for both ASUS and its subbrand ASUS ROG’s smartphones has been made public. It is scheduled to begin the following month, in December 2022.

Regarding the ROG phone, the manufacturer disclosed in a post from its official ROG Global Twitter account that the Asus ROG Phone 6D and the Asus ROG Phone 6D Ultimate will receive the Android 13 upgrade in the first quarter of 2023.

The company has also stated that depending on the region and other factors, the actual timeframe for the update distribution may vary. When the phones receive the Android 13 upgrade, we anticipate them to come with an updated version of the custom user interface. While ROG phones run the ROG UI on top of Android, ASUS phones have the company’s Zen UI.

Top features of Android 13

For those who are unaware, Google released the Android 13 mobile operating system in August of this year. Since then, smartphone manufacturers have begun announcing the release date for the Android 12 replacement on their own models. Asus is the most recent business to reveal its roadmap.

In terms of features, Android 13 offers Google’s Material You theme, which enables users to modify non-Google apps in accordance with their phone’s overall theme. Users can also personalise their bedtime mode with a dark theme and dimmed wallpaper.

Android 13’s safety features allow users to restrict app access to only the exact images and videos they require. Additionally, the apps that consumers download must obtain their express consent before sending notifications.
