Asus has finally released the much-awaited Zenfone 9. The new device from Asus is equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and a 120Hz AMOLED display. What’s more, the device will go on sale in the European markets first. One more thing to note here is, that the device is yet to release in the Indian market. Asus Zenfone 9 Specs
Asus Zenfone 9 sports a 5.9-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate up to 120Hz and a peak brightness level of 1100 nits. The display also features a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top for protection. The device also comes with support for HDR 10 and HDR 10+ content.
As mentioned previously, the device packs the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset under the hood with Adreno 730 GPU. Moreover, Asus is offering two storage variants for the device- 8/128GB, 8/256GB, and 16/256GB of LPDRR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. On the software front, the device comes preloaded with Android 12. Plus, it also features a 4,300mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging.

For imaging, the device houses a dual rear camera setup, including a 50MP primary camera. It is the same camera that you can find on OnePlus Nord 2T and Nothing Phone (1). In addition to that, there is a 12MP ultra-wide angle lens. The camera department supports 8K video capture and offers distortion correction. On the front, it has a 12MP lens for video calls and selfies.
As for connectivity, it is equipped with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, Wi-Fi Direct, and NFC.
Pricing
Asus has rolled out the device in the global market for Eur 800, which is roughly equal to Rs 65,000. As discussed previously, the company is yet to announce an Indian variant. However, we don’t have any reason to believe that Asus won’t roll out the device in India. It might take some time though.
