This month, Google will release Android 12 stable. Following that, we can expect several partner OEMs would release new versions of their mobile software based on the current version of Android. OPPO is one among these companies, and it has been teasing ColorOS 12, its next big upgrade.

ColorOS published a teaser image for ColorOS 12 on its official Weibo account earlier today. The image depicts the ColorOS Clock icon set to 12 o’clock. According to the article, the company will provide more details today (September 7).

We think OPPO will announce the ColorOS 12 launch date tomorrow. The previously leaked date was September 13. For those who don’t know, OPPO staged a ColorOS 11 event last year when Android 11 came to the market.

As a result, the same thing might happen this year. This suggests that the company will reveal Android 12 Stable today or the day before the OPPO event.

We just have a few details about ColorOS 12 based on Android 12 for now. Also, rumors say that the new OPPO firmware has a new function dubbed ‘Cross-Screen Interconnection,’ which is essentially the same as HUAWEI Multi-Screen Collaboration. Other Chinese Android skins, such as MIUI, Flyme, Smartisan OS, and HydrogenOS, are expected to be included as well.

This OS will be available on OPPO, OnePlus, and Realme devices, among others. This is due to the fact that OnePlus phones sold in China run ColorOS for OnePlus, whereas other markets use OxygenOS. Finally, we can see that Realme UI is nothing more than ColorOS with a few tweaks.
