The Motorola Edge was among the best Android devices that the company launched last year. After all, the device was offering a flagship-like experience at $700. Now, the company has released Motorola Edge (2021), the successor of last year’s Motorola Edge. The new device is equipped with enhanced specs and a competitive price tag.

Motorola Edge (2021) Specifications
The Motorola Edge 2021 dons a 6.8-inch LCD Max Vision display with FHD+ resolution, refresh rate of 144Hz, and 576Hz touch response. Under the hood, the device features Snapdragon 778G chipset. The last year’s device featured Snapdragon 765 chipset, so it is an improvement.
However, the most notable additions are in the camera department. The new device is equipped with a triple rear camera setup with a 108MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP depth camera. On the front, the phone is carrying a 32MP front camera equipped with Quad Pixel tech.
Moreover, the new Edge is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging. Plus, the device has Wi-Fi 6E support and an IP52 splash resistance rating. And it comes pre-loaded with Motorola’s My UX enhancements on top of the pure version of Android 11. Additionally, the device also features ThinkShield for Mobile, Motorola’s version of Samsung Knox.
Release date and pricing
The Motorola Edge (2021) will be available for purchase from September 2 via Best Buy, B&H, Amazon, and Motorola.com.
As for pricing, the device will arrive with a price tag of $700 in the US. However, initially, it will be sold for a discounted price of $500 for a limited time.
