The Nothing Phone 1 is receiving a new software update from Nothing. Disappointingly, it’s not the Android 13 beta that Carl Pei previously hinted to. Nevertheless, the update brings a new feature, some performance enhancements, and the most recent security fixes for Android 12. The most current Nothing OS upgrade (firmware version 1.1.7) has reportedly begun going out to users, according to recent postings on our Nothing Phone 1 forums. The Android security updates for October 2022 and November 2022 are included, along with compatibility for Apple AirPods’ battery percentage. By turning on the new function from the Experimental features area in the Nothing Phone 1, you can now see the battery life of your AirPods on your phone.
The increased support for Apple AirPods in Nothing Phone version 1.1.7 may be the most intriguing improvement. When enabled, this is added under “Experimental features”. It allows the programme to display the amount of battery life left in the AirPods.
Users claim that after this update, the Wi-Fi, mobile data, and hotspot tiles only need to be tapped once to be activated.
Note: The size of Nothing OS 1.1.7 update is just over 79MB.
