OnePlus is releasing another update for the OnePlus 9RT after releasing the first post-launch OxygenOS update for the device last month. The new update is different from the OxygenOS update rolling out for the OnePlus 9 series and Nord. The latest OxygenOS update for the OnePlus 9RT still includes the December 2021 Android security patches. On top of that, the new update doesn’t include many new features. On the contrary, it just comes with a variety of bug fixes and enhancements.
OnePlus is yet to release an official update thread on its forum, but an XDA Recognized Developer mlgmxyysd has revealed the update’s changelog and download links. According to the changelog shared by the leaker, the fresh OnePlus 9RT OxygenOS update includes:
- System
- Fixed the issues of the black screen and screen flickering when making calls
- Improved system stability and fixed known issues

As discussed earlier, the current OxygenOS build for the 9RT does not have the January 2022 Android security patches. However, an XDA Senior Member Some Random Username claims that the Chinese version of ColorOS for the OnePlus 9RT version does have January patches as well. This is not something that happens every day. We hope that OnePlus clarifies the situation whenever it posts an announcement on its community forums.
In any case, if you haven’t yet received the new OxygenOS update for your OnePlus 9RT, you can download the update manually. However, check the current firmware build on your smartphone and download the matching incremental update package before proceeding.
