Oppo Find N has been the topic of the town for a while now. And the company has finally revealed the device. The device is the flagship device from Oppo that will compete with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series. It has an advantage over Samsung’s device; it offers a more compact form factor when folded.

What makes Oppo Find N different from Galaxy Z Fold3?

First of all, the folding crease of Find N is not that conspicuous as that of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 since it uses a patented teardrop-shaped hinge. The hinge allows the phone to fold without any gap between the two halves of the display.

Furthermore, the hinge also allows the device to be half-folded in a laptop-qs form factor. This feature is similar to Samsung’s Flex Mode. It is worth noting that the crease is still there, but it is not visible to the human eyes in regular use and normal viewing angles.

Oppo Find N Specifications

The OPPO Find N will come equipped with a 5.5-inch 60Hz outer screen with a 1972×988 resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio, while the inner display is 7.1 inch with a 1792 x1920 120Hz LTPO panel with a 9:8:4 aspect ratio. It can switch in between 1Hz to 120Hz.

Under the hood, the device will feature the Snapdragon 888 SoC coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage. You might think, why OPPO is not using Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor for the device. The reason is that the device was in making before the chipset arrived on the market. This means one more thing that OPPO cannot use the company’s new MariSilicion X NPU.

In the camera department, the device packs a triple-camera setup on the rear. The camera on the rear includes a 50MP main camera, this is the same camera used on the OnePlus 9 Pro and Find X3 Pro. Plus, the device also features a 16MP ultrawide lens a 13MP telephoto lens with 2x zoom. Besides, the device also packs two 32MP cameras on either display.

Moreover, the device is fuelled by a 4,500mAh battery with support for 33W SuperVOOC charging and 15W wireless charging. On top of that, OPPO Find N also features support for 10W reverse charging. We don’t know much about dust and water ingress protection.

Pricing

The Find N will arrive as one of the cheapest foldable devices around the globe at just ¥7,699 (US$1,210) for 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage. On the other hand, the 12/512GB variant will cost ¥8,999 (US$1,400). If we compare it with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3, the Samsung device costs US$ 1,799.99.

As for release, this OPPO device will be exclusive for the Chinese market in the beginning. The device will arrive on the market on December 23 in color options, including Black, Purple, and White colors.
