Oppo Reno 8 Series to Release in July in India

Oppo has recently released the Oppo Reno 8 series in China. Now, the devices are expected to release in India in July, according to a report from 91mobiles. Previous reports suggested a mid-June release. Alongside, the new smartphone series, the company could also launch Oppo Pad Air. However, it is important to note that the company has not offered any details about a possible release date. 

The report suggests that Oppo will launch the Oppo Reno 8 with the specifications of the Oppo Reno 8 Pro. On the other hand, the Oppo Reno 8 pro could feature a specification of the Oppo Reno 8 Pro+ model. The company has not provided details about the specifications so you should take them with a pinch of salt. That said, here is everything you should know about the new Oppo Reno 8 series.

Oppo Reno 8 

The Oppo Reno 8 comes pre-loaded with Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1. It features a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display panel with a refresh rate of 90Hz. 

Under the hood, the device is packed with the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. 

For imaging, the device houses a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP monochrome camera, and a 2MP macro camera. Basically, it has a triple rear camera setup. On the front, there is a 32MP selfie camera for video calls and selfies. 

As for connectivity, the Oppo Reno 8 offers 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.3, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Lastly, it is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with 80W Super Flash fast charging support.

Oppo Reno 8 Pro 

The next device in the series is Oppo Reno 8 Pro. Just like the previous variant, this model also runs on ColorOS 12.1. 

What’s more, the device dons a 6.62-inch Full-HD+ E4 AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Plus, it packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. 

In the camera department, the smartphone includes a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. Whereas, it has a 32MP front camera. There is one more addition, Oppo has included a MariSilicon X Chip for better video and imaging. 

The smartphone has all types of connectivity options, including 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Plus, it also packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for 80W Super Flash Charge fast charging.

As you can see above, there is not much difference between the two smartphones in terms of specifications. 

Oppo Pad Air specifications

It will come pre-loaded with ColorOS based on Android 12 out of the box. 

Moreover, there is a 10.36-inch 2K display with peak brightness levels of 360 nits. It also features Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, up to 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of UFS 2.2 built-in storage. It is worth mentioning that there is an option to expand the storage to up to 512GB via a microSD card. 

Furthermore, there is an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera on the device. Besides that, the pad also includes Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth v5.1, and a USB Type-C port. The tablet is powered by a 7,100mAh battery with support for up to 18W fast charging.
