Xiaomi has finally released the much anticipated Redmi Note 12 series in China. The series includes Redmi Note 12, Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro Plus, and Note 12 Explore. The new series is the successor to the Redmi Note 11 lineup that made its way to India earlier this year.

Redmi Note 12 Series
First of all, we would like to emphasize that the Explorer Edition is touted as the premium model in the series. According to the company, the device features a 4300mAh battery with 210W fast charging support. The charger can juice up the battery in just 9 minutes, as per the claims.
For imaging, the device houses a 200MP Samsung HPX main camera that will allow users to click better images than the earlier models. Plus, it also features a better cooling system to avoid overheating the device.
What’s more, the Redmi Note 12 series is also the first series to feature Dimesnity 1080, which MediaTek released recently. The new chip features enhanced image processing capabilities.
The new series is already available for pre-order in China and it will go on sale starting November 13. It will arrive in the following color options: Midnight Dark, Time Blue, Mirror Porcelain White, and Shallow Dream Galaxy color shades.

Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition:
The Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition is equipped with a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED screen with 2400×1080 pixel resolution. The screen offers a refresh rate of 120Hz.
Under the hood, it is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Plus, it houses a triple rear camera setup including a 200MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, it features a 16MP camera.
Moreover, the phone comes pre-loaded with Android 12 MIUI 13 out of the box. It packs a 4,300mAh battery with 210W fast charging support. As for connectivity, users will get 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.
In terms of pricing, the device will start at 2399 Yuan which is roughly equal to INR 27,000.

Redmi Note 12 Pro and Pro Plus:
Redmi Note 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ sports don a 6.67-inch FHD+OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 2400×1080 pixel resolutions. Plus, the screen also supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and up to 900 nits peak brightness levels. The devices are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC paired with Mali-G68 GPU. They also offer up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of secondary storage.
Furthermore, the Note 12 Pro features triple rear cameras, including a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. Besides that, it also has a 16MP front camera. On the other hand, the Note 12 Pro Plus is equipped with a 200MP primary sensor. The other point of distinction between the two devices is their charging capabilities. Even though both devices feature a 5000mAh battery, the Pro model offers 67W fast charging while the Pro Plus variant supports 120W fast charging.
It has a 16MP selfie shooter on the front. The Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus also has triple sensors on the back but with a 200MP Samsung HPX primary sensor. The other major difference between the two phones lies in their charging capabilities. Both phones come with a 5000mAh battery. However, the Pro model supports 67W fast charging whereas the Pro Plus model supports 120W fast charging.
As for connectivity, the devices offer 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, and USB Type-C.
The Note 12 Pro will start at 1,699 Yuan (19,000 INR) and will go all the way up to 2,099 Yuan (23,900 INR) for the top model. Whereas the Note 12 Pro Plus will start at 2099 (24,000 INR) Yuan, with the top model costing 2299 (26,000 INR) Yuan.
Redmi Note 12:
The last model in the series is the Redmi Note 12 vanilla variant. It comes with the same screen dimensions as the other models. It is equipped with the first-gen Snapdragon 4 mobile platform with an octa-core CPU.
Additionally, the device features two 48MP cameras and a 2MP depth sensor at the rear, and an 8MP camera at the front. It draws power from a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. The pricing for the device is 1,199 Yuan (14,000 INR).
