Samsung Galaxy M21 Gets Android 12 With One UI 4.1 On Top

Samsung has been hard at work rolling out One UI 4.1 to its cheap and mid-range handsets after revamping its flagship portfolio. The Galaxy A52 4G and Galaxy M62 received the stable One UI 4.1 upgrade earlier this month, followed by the Galaxy A32 5G and Galaxy M31 a week later. The original Galaxy M21 is the most recent device to receive One UI 4.1.

Samsung has begun handing out the stable One UI 4.1 Core upgrade based on Android 12 to the Galaxy M21, according to sources on Samsung Community (SM-M215F). The upgrade is around 2GB in size and includes April 2022 security fixes, among other things. The software version M215FXXU2CVCC is now being rolled out to customers in India. It’s worth noting that the device receiving the update is the original Galaxy M21 (released in 2020). The Android 12 update has not yet been applied to the Galaxy M21 2021 edition (SM-M215G).

For those unfamiliar with One UI Core, it’s a stripped-down version of One UI that Samsung includes with its cheap phones. Some of the capabilities present in the complete One UI 4.0/4.1 experience will likely be absent from One UI Core 4.1.

How to install the update?

Owners of the Samsung Galaxy M21 can expect to receive the new update in the coming days. Go to Settings > Software Update to manually check. You can download the new release directly from Samsung’s Firmware Update Server (FUS) and manually flash it on your Galaxy smartphone if you don’t want to wait.
