Galaxy S22 India variants might feature Snapdragon 898 processor

The new details reveal that the Galaxy S22 series Indian variants will come equipped with Snapdragon 898 SoC. It is something new since the company used to launch Exynos variants for the Indian market. Even the current S series features the Samsung in-house Exynos 2100 chipset. The report surfaced courtesy of Tipster Tron. As of now, the Exynos has been no match for the Snapdragon chipsets in terms of performance.

It is worth noting that the initial yields of Exynos 2200 SoC don’t look rosy. Thus, the company will look to reduce the volume of Exynos 2200 chipsets. The report further adds that Qualcomm will reduce the pricing of the chipsets.

Furthermore, the reports say that India and similar regions will receive the Qualcomm Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S22 series. On the other hand, regions including Korea, Hong Kong, and North American might also get the Snapdragon 898-powered Galaxy S22 devices. In contrast, Europe, South America, etc are likely to get the Exynos 2200 SoC variant.

However, nothing is certain as of now as Samsung is yet to make anything official. The company might take a final call near the release date.
