In just a day, Samsung will introduce the Galaxy S22 and we’re still learning more about smartphones. The most recent addition to the knowledge base of the Galaxy S22 series is the pricing of all three phones. However, for the time being, the pricing is exclusively for the South Korean market.
In comparison to last year’s devices, the Galaxy S22 Series will release for reasonable pricing
Samsung will begin pre-registration for the Galaxy S22 series in South Korea on February 14th, as per ETNews with pre-orders starting on February 21st. The phones will actually be delivered to their respective owners on February 25th.
According to the report, the base variant will cost KRW 999,900, roughly equal to $833. The Plus model will cost KRW 1,199,000, which is about $999. These are the rates for the 128GB model; the phone will also be available in 256GB models. However, we don’t know the prices for those models.
Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will cost KRW 1,452,000 (about $1,210) for the 256GB model and KRW 1,599,400 (approximately $1,333) for the 512GB model. According to the source, Samsung will also release a 1TB version of the S22 Ultra, although pricing information is currently unavailable.
Additionally, Samsung has also announced that 700,000 to 800,000 Galaxy S22 phones have been set aside for the domestic market. Due to the current chip scarcity, the production cost has reportedly doubled when compared to the Galaxy S21 series. However, this has not resulted in Samsung increasing the pricing of the series.
