Samsung has recently unveiled the Galaxy S23 series at the first Galaxy Unpacked event on February 2 in San Francisco. The exciting thing about the event was that this was the first in-person Samsung event in three years. The forthcoming series consists of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra.
It is clear from the name that the Galaxy S23 Ultra is the top-end variant of the series. It packs a 200MP camera that should be enough to deliver excellent photos with crisp detail. The entire Galaxy S23 series is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and Android 13 OS with minor differences. Let’s talk about the devices in detail.
Samsung Galaxy S23 series specifications

Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus
The Samsung Galaxy S23 standard variant will come equipped with a 6.1-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The display features a vision booster, punch-hole cutout for the front camera, and 240Hz Touch Sampling Rate in Game mode. Whereas the Galaxy S23 Plus features a 6.6-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. The refresh rate and other things are the same as that of S23.
Under the hood, the flagship devices are packed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The processor is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Both devices will feature an Android 13-based OneUI 5.1 custom skin out of the box.
As for connectivity, the devices support 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and GPS. Plus, it features a USB Type-C port for charging.
For imaging, the Galaxy S23 standard variant and S23 Plus house a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP Ultra-wide camera, and 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. There is a 12MP snapper on the front for selfies and video calls.
Lastly, the Samsung Galaxy S23 packs a 3,900mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. While the Plus variant features a larger 4,700mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. It is important to note that both devices also support Fast Wireless charging 2.0 and Wireless PowerShare support.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
The Galaxy S23 Ultra dons a 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 120Hz refresh rate support. Besides that, the screen also offers a 240Hz touch sampling rate in the Game mode and Vision booster. It features a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on top for protection. Plus, there is a hole-punch cutout at the top center.
Moreover, the handset will come equipped with overclocked Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with Adreno GPU. It will come in four different storage variants:
- 8/256GB
- 12/256GB
- 12GB/512GB
- 12GB/1TB
On the software front, the smartphone comes preloaded with Android 13-based OneUI 5.1 custom skin. For connectivity, the smartphone should include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will house a quad rear camera setup, including a 200MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x zoom, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 10x optical zoom. On the front, there is a 12MP sensor.
Furthermore, the handset will pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging, wireless PowerShare, and fast wireless charging 2.0.

Additionally, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will not arrive in a Lavender color. However, it will be available in exclusive colors, including Red, Graphite, Lime, and Sky blue, apart from the standard three colors.
