Users reported Galaxy S22 GPS issue on Samsung’s community forum
On Samsung’s community forums, users are reporting that their phones are having trouble connecting to GPS. Reports suggest issues ranging from minor annoyances to full failures. We tested both the freshly released March version and the January software that came with my Galaxy S22 Ultra. While we don’t have any substantial difficulties with it, it is far less accurate than any of my other gadgets. However, it’s realistic to say that your mileage may vary; some people may find that the GPS on their S22 Ultra is adequate. Rebooting your smartphone and resetting your APNs are two treatments mentioned in the discussion. Still, there doesn’t appear to be a permanent remedy, since the problem appears to resurface after a while, leaving customers to wait for a Samsung patch.
Fortunately, some comments in that forum thread suggest that the company may already be mindful, so a remedy should be available soon. In the meanwhile, if you’re having trouble with this, you may search the forum for temporary remedies and add your two cents – here’s hoping an update comes out before you drive yourself insane from irritation while trying to get someplace.
