The Android 12 upgrade for the Xiaomi Mi 11 is arriving soon, and Xiaomi wants your assistance testing it.

Android 12 upgrade

Xiaomi gave the Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11, and Mi 11i (Mi 11X Pro/Redmi K40 Pro) an early Android 12 developer preview version in May. While the developer preview was a stock Android version, the company released an internal MIUI 12.5 beta based on Android 12 for the Mi 11 last month, giving us our first look at the new MIUI build. Xiaomi has begun testing the MIUI Global Stable ROM based on Android 12 for a number of Mi 11 series phones as we get closer to the public release of Android 12.

Xiaomi said on Wednesday that it is searching for beta testers for the MIUI 12.5 Global Stable ROM. It is based on Android 12. The Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11, and Mi 11i are the three phones for which Xiaomi is now looking for testers.

How to register for beta program:

You can fill out the Mi Tester Recruitment application to enroll your smartphone in the beta program. For this, you have to possess one of the aforementioned phones and wish to try out the new software. Users that are using the MIUI Global ROM are eligible for the program. There are a few regional versions of the Global ROM now. To determine your ROM variation, go to Settings > About phone and look for the initials “MI” in the MIUI nomenclature. If it does, you’re in the running. You can’t join the program if it reads “IN” or “EU”. Since you’re presumably using an Indian or European version of MIUI ROM.

Xiaomi claims it will only accept 200 people per device on a first-come, first-serve basis. Fill out this application if you want to participate in the program. Your Mi account number, IEMI number, and other basic information will be required.

Xiaomi hasn’t given a firm timetable. According to the stable Android 12 upgrade will be available for the Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11, and Mi 11i.
