The Original Microsoft Surface Duo Will Receive Android 11 OS Update

With the announcement of the Microsoft Surface Duo 2, there are good rumors for Microsoft Surface duo users too. While the follow-up to the original Surface Duo hybrid phone-tablet is expected to hit the market shortly, the Surface Duo might receive a big Android 11 OS update.

The announcement makes it clear that, for the first time, Android 11 will be available, as it had previously only been available with Android 10.

The surface Duo 2 will release with more advanced features and design. The company hasn’t made any announcement regarded to the update. But according to the spokesperson’s given information to the source, they are committed to bringing the Android 11 OS update before this year for existing customers.  

Though most OEMs are already operating Android 11, Microsoft has stated it only for Surface Duo. But it is also better than nothing. Microsoft Surface Duo 2 out of the box already runs Android 11, it might adopt Android 12 soon.

The release is going to happen at the end of this year. The users are eagerly waiting for the Android 11 update.
