According to recent reports, Vivo is working on the Vivo X90 series. In fact, some leaks suggest a year-end release. What’s more, the series will be the successor of the Vivo X80 series and unlike its predecessor, it will come in three different variants. Specifically, we might get to see the Vivo X90, Vivo X90 Pro, and Vivo X90 Pro+. Plus, some reports suggest that the upcoming series might come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Now, a more recent leak from a renowned tipster suggests that Vivo might release MediaTek variants as well. However, we will have to wait to find out.

According to a post on Digital Chat Station, Vivo could release the X90 series packed with the next-gen Dimensity 9000 chipsets. Moreover, if we are to believe the tipster then the next-gen Dimensity chipset boasts a better AnTuTu score than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.

Previously, the tipster suggested that Qualcomm managed to achieve a clock boost of up to 3.5 GHz with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The tech giant might release the new chipset sometime in November. However, this is not official. Anyways, it will be a treat to watch how MediaTek’s next-gen chipset will fare against Qualcomm’s.

Let’s get back to the Vivo X90 series. The Chinese manufacturer might release the series in December. Plus, we also have some idea about the specs of the Vivo X90 pro+. As discussed earlier, it might pack the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.

For imaging, the Vivo X90 Pro+ might house a 1-inch camera sensor along with a telephoto lens camera at the back. It could also feature LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.

The predecessor- Vivo X80 Pro, features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC coupled with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It also has a 50MP quad rear camera setup with a 32MP front camera.
