The forthcoming Redmi Note lineup will take the mid-range quick charging fight to a whole new level. Xiaomi announced on Monday that its next Redmi Note 11 series will feature fast charging up to 120W.
Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing stated last week that the company will release Redmi Note 11 series, as well as the Redmi Watch 2, on October 28. The Chinese manufacturer has disclosed some of the primary features and design of its forthcoming smartphone lineup (through the XiaomiUI Telegram channel) ahead of the formal announcement. Xiaomi teasers indicate that there will be at least three models. They are the Redmi Note 11, the Redmi Note 11 Pro, and the Redmi Note 11 Pro+.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro+ will include a dual-cell battery and enable 120W fast charging, according to Xiaomi. It’s unclear if the 120W fast charger will come with the box or separately. The phone’s battery has also been certified safe by TUV Rheinland, according to Xiaomi.
A 3.5mm audio connector, Bluetooth 5.2, multi-function NFC, Wi-Fi 6 compatibility, an X-axis linear motor, and JBL tuned speakers are among the other confirmed specifications of the Redmi Note 11 Pro+. Finally, the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ will include a quad-camera configuration on the back, according to the teaser. Other hardware details, such as the SoC, camera sensors, and display, remain unknown.
The Redmi Note 11 will follow the Redmi Note 10 series from last year. The Redmi Note 10 range was very popular. And we expect the Redmi Note 11 to be just as popular.
It’s unclear whether 120W rapid charging would be confined to Chinese devices or will be accessible on Indian and international versions as well. While the Redmi Note 10 series in China supported up to 67W fast charging. But the international variants were limited to 33W.
We won’t have to wait long to find out what the new Redmi Note series has in store for us. The formal launch is only a few days away.
