Indian fans of the Pixel smartphones from Google were left disappointed when the company decided against releasing the latest Pixel series in India. The last device to release in India was Pixel 4a LTE. Since then, users are waiting for Google to release a new Pixel device. And now, it seems as if Google is ready to answer the request by releasing a new Pixel smartphone.
As per Yogesh Brar, a renowned Indian tipster, Google might launch a new Pixel phone by the end of 2022. The leaker further adds that it looks quite possible that Google might introduce the Pixel 6a smartphone in India soon. However, people waiting for Pixel 6 and 6 Pro should not get their hopes high. Since Google plans to release a new Pixel device in India doesn’t mean it will release the entire Pixel 6 series.
Google has many reasons to not to introduce Pixel 4a 5G and the following models in India. For the first, the Pixel device didn’t perform well. Plus, India doesn’t support Project Soli due to the lack of a 60Hz frequency range. On top of that, the Indian market is already crowded with Chinese smartphones offering a better price to performance ratio than Pixel. This might have also played some role. However, now it appears as if the tech giant has a change of mind and it has decided to enter the market once again.

Additionally, the device could feature a dual rear camera setup alongside a single LED flash. According to reports, Google Pixel 6a might use the same 50MP Samsung sensor that was used on the Pixel 6.
Under the hood, the device might feature a mid-range Tensor processor or a Snapdragon 778G. The processor should come paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
