According to Chinese blog MyDrivers, Apple’s third-generation iPhone SE 3 will have an iPhone XR-like design with Touch ID. Plus, it might be the company’s last iPhone with an LCD display.
As previously discussed, the design of the third-generation iPhone SE 3 is based on the iPhone XR. It will include a Touch ID fingerprint scanner incorporated into the side button. Plus, it will feature an LCD display, the A15 Bionic CPU, and a 5G connection, according to the report. The smartphone is believed to be Apple’s last iPhone with an LCD display. In other words, all the future iPhones switching will use OLED or other, more sophisticated display technology.
MyDrivers admitted that this remark contradicts recent claims that the third-generation iPhone SE would keep the existing, second-generation model’s design. The iPhone SE has the same design as the now-defunct iPhone 8; with a Touch ID scanner integrated into the Home Button.

Rumors about the new iPhone SE’s have surfaced courtesy of trustworthy sources like Ming-Chi Kuo and Ross Young. They first claimed that the handset would have a 6.1-inch display similar to the iPhone XR.
The 6.1-inch model could be the fourth-generation iPhone SE, which could explain some of the misunderstandings around the iPhone SE. Young now predicts that a fourth-generation iPhone SE with a 6.1-inch display and a hole-punch front-facing camera will be released in 2023.
According to MyDrivers, the third-generation iPhone SE will be released in the spring of 2022, with 64GB of storage and a starting price of $399, the same as the present model.
