The RTX 3090 from Nvidia undoubtedly comes with massive gaming PC performance, and an RTX 3090 Ti upgrade might push the Ampere architecture even farther. However, it appears like Team Green is already planning to step things up a level. Recent rumors say that the yet-to-be-announced RTX 4090 will have 43% more CUDA cores.
Nvidia’s enthusiast-grade RTX 4090 GPU will have 18,432 CUDA cores. It is 7,936 more than the current generation RTX 3090, according to Greymon55. While prior rumors claim that the card will deliver twice the performance of its predecessor; the 43 percent boost could still come with power consumption restrictions and the necessity for a new power supply.

The RTX 4090 from Nvidia could push the graphics card market to a new height. But the flagship’s increased CUDA count is combined with the same 24GB VRAM as its predecessor. Naturally, this might be a problem, particularly if the RTX 4070 and RTX 4080 use the same GDDR6 package as the RTX 3000 series.
Before you get too excited about Nvidia’s next flagship card, keep in mind that the firm hasn’t published any information regarding the replacement to the RTX 3000 range. So, until we hear something official, all RTX 4000 information should be taken with a grain of salt.
However, rumors claim that the RTX 4070, RTX 4080, and RTX 4090 will arrive in July of next year. So the new graphics card technology may arrive sooner than you think. Of course, the industry is still dealing with component shortages. Hence, we’ll have to wait and see how this affects Nvidia’s plans for next-gen.
