According to Digital Chat Station, the OPPO Reno 7 series will feature a better camera than its predecessors, including OPPO Reno 6 and OPPO Reno 6 Pro. What’s more, the device will come equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 870G and a Sony IMX766 camera sensor. The device features a 1/2.0-inch 64-MP OmniVision OV64B sensor with 0.7-micron pixels. On the other hand, the Sony IMX766 packs a 1/1.56-inch sensor with 1.0-micron native pixels. What’s more, the native pixels can grow to 2.0 microns with 4-in-1 binning. Plus, the sensor is also compatible with DOL-HDR ALL-pixel autofocus.
OPPO might be developing Reno 7 with Kodak
GSMArena, citing an older post by Digital Chat Station, stated that the rumored Oppo Reno 7 Pro might be the same phone that was being developed by the Chinese manufacturer with US-based photographic company Kodak. According to reports, the phone is meant to pay homage to the original Kodak camera design. Plus, the purported phone would include a Sony IMX766 50-megapixel sensor, a 13-megapixel 2x telephoto camera, and a 3-megapixel microscope camera, similar to the Oppo Find X3 Pro flagship smartphone.
