Battery life has been a major cause of concern for smartwatch users. Even the premium flagships like Galaxy Watch 4 and other watches don’t last longer than 24 hours on a charger. Companies have started offering faster-charging speeds but battery life is still a cause of concern. However, Samsung is planning to change that. The company has two new watches in line for the release from the Galaxy Watch 5 series. The watches will launch on August 10th during the Galaxy Unpacked event.
According to Ice Universe on Twitter, Samsung has focused on improving the battery life of smartwatches. The platform reported that Samsung’s upcoming watches will offer up to 3 days of battery life. If this turns out correct, the new watches will blow away the competition.

Galaxy Watch 5 series rumored hardware and specs
As discussed earlier, Samsung has focused more on battery life when it comes to Galaxy Watch 5’s hardware. An earlier report suggested that the Galaxy Watch will feature a 276mAh battery. On the other hand, its predecessor featured a 247mAh battery. What’s more, the Watch 5 Classic will come equipped with a 397mAh battery. It appears as if Samsung might roll out the classic variant as the larger standard model of the Galaxy Watch 5 series.
Moreover, rumors suggest that Watch 5 Pro might feature a 572mAh battery. Plus, there are reports indicating support for wireless charging speeds increases to 10W. In addition to that, both the Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro might pack Bluetooth and LTE options. Unfortunately, we don’t know more about hardware.
Features
There are not many rumors or reports revealing the features of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy 5 series. Anyways, we expect the watch to come preloaded with Wear OS 3. Plus, it will likely have the same feature except for a few additions. What’s more, Samsung might release Wear OS 3.5 with One UI 4.5. As a result, we might see a heart rate monitor and sleep monitoring with REM Stages. On top of that, the watch will likely also feature
fall detection, multiple sports modes, ECG, blood pressure, and blood oxygen. However, take everything thing mentioned above with a pinch of salt.
