Xiaomi 12 Ultra Will Arrive With A Triple Rear Camera Setup Including A 50MP Main Camera

Xiaomi several new products

Xiaomi is reportedly working on the next iteration of Mi 11 Ultra under a new name. The company is dropping Mi from the name, so the phone will arrive with the name 12 Ultra. According to a renowned tipster Digital Chat Station, the name is one of the many tweaks the company has done to the flagship. Overall, it will be different in more than one aspect from its predecessors.

The current-gen Mi 11 Ultra features the best in the industry 50MP mobile sensor for its main camera in the rear camera setup. The successor might come equipped with the same camera. Digital Chat Station also reveals that 12 Ultra will house a primary, an ultrawide-angle, and one periscope lens. All of the cameras will have the same resolutions.

We might get to see Xiaomi’s next-gen camera strategy on 12 Ultra

What’s more, we have already heard rumors about Xiaomi’s next-gen camera technology. Now, the rumors became more plausible because of ZTE’s similar 2021 stunt. The company revealed Axon 30 Ultra with a triple rear camera setup with a pixel resolution of 64MP.

It is worth noting that Xiaomi flagship camera rumors also provide credibility to additional reports suggesting that regular 12 and 12 Pro will feature a new 200MP main sensor instead. However, triple-figure resolutions can go either way for smartphone OEMs. In any case, the developers will test the lower resolution sensor by the time the 12 Ultra is ready for launch.
