In a recent development, Microsoft is finally ready to give PC gamers an update that will fix all performance-related issues. The company has offered users a preview of Windows 11 fixes. Earlier this month, the company warned users against lower-than-expected gaming performance after the latest 2022 Update (22H2). Nevertheless, users have been facing gaming issues for quite a while now.

Microsoft in an official statement revealed that: “Some games and apps might experience lower than expected performance or stuttering on Windows 11, version 22H2,”. The company further added, “Affected games and apps are inadvertently enabling GPU performance debugging features not meant to be used by consumers.”

The company didn’t reveal the names of the apps and games experiencing the problems. However, the company did block the Windows 11 2022 (22H2) Update for systems with the affected apps and games. In addition to that, the company also rolled out notifications notifying users not to upgrade. The company did remove the recommendation a week ago. Now, the American giant is ready with a full-fledged fix. The company revealed that users that are running the Windows 11 2022 update, can install the KB5020044 update preview.

In another development, NVIDIA was also facing some issues with drivers with the latest Windows 11 2022 update. The issue caused the frame rates to drop and stutter. However, the company resolved the issue in September.

Other additions in the new Microsoft Update

The new update from Microsoft also features several bug fixes. On top of that, it also includes storage alerts for OneDrive, and improvements to the Windows Spotlight feature, among other things.

Microsoft also rolled out the Windows 11 virtualization feature last month. These features will better the user experience when it comes to gaming. The company also provided instructions on how to disable it, but make sure you enable it if you are going to disable it.
