The precision of a mouse and keyboard is frequently cited by PC gamers as an advantage over playing on a console. While this is a legitimate point, there is something comforting about playing games with a controller. Then there are the games that simply play better with a controller.
Microsoft is now providing even another reason to use a gamepad on a PC, and it’s based on the Xbox Series X.
Windows Insiders may now test an early preview of a feature called “controller bar,”; it appears when you click the center Xbox button on the controller, according to a blog post. The controller bar, a new aspect of the Xbox Game Bar, displays the three most recent games you played, as well as three launchers installed on your machine.

The new game launcher interface is similar to the Xbox Series X game switcher in that you can swiftly transition from one title to the next without opening a launcher or bringing out a mouse and keyboard to click on a shortcut. The capability appears to be accessible in the Xbox Game Bar (Windows + G) if you use a mouse and keyboard.
This is a function many users might use frequently, especially when they connect a gaming laptop to a TV to play in the living room. In principle, this would eliminate the need for users to utilize a wireless mouse and keyboard to navigate around Windows 11.
When you pair or connect a controller to your Windows 11 PC running the current Insider Preview build in either the Dev or Beta channels; Microsoft says the controller bar appears. When you are not playing a game, you can manually activate the interface by hitting the Xbox button.
