The regular Google Pixel 8 will also see an improvement in its ultrawide camera, although not as drastic as the Pro version. While it retains the same Sony IMX386 sensor as the Pixel 6 series, the lens is now wider, with the zoom ratio changing from 0.67x to 0.55x.

Time-of-Flight Sensors: Improved Autofocus for Sharper Images

The Pixel 8 Pro is getting a significant upgrade in its time-of-flight (ToF) sensor department with the new 8×8 ToF VL53L8 sensor.
