Samsung rolled out a new fitness update for the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic. The update is carrying various important health and wellness capabilities to two of its top smartwatches.
There new Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 update includes various new health-related features. Out of which, one of the most notable is users will now receive a 30-day trial of the Chris Hemsworth-helmed Centr training. Plus, consumers will get better sleep insights.
The Centr partnership isn’t just for a free trial of the program. On the contrary, it also leverages body composition data from the service to provide a better picture of an individual’s overall health.
Moreover, users have to keep in mind that to get additional insights; they have to wear the Watch 4 devices for the entire week. It will provide tutoring and article recommendations to assist users to get more restful slumber.
Additionally, Samsung will apparently assign customers a “sleep animal” to indicate the type of sleeper they are. However, it’s unclear whether this is for any reason other than strange cuteness.
Fitness app also getting an Upgrade
The fitness app will also receive a major boost, allowing users to select intervals for their bike or foot training sessions. It’s basic, but it’s a vital component of enhanced fitness.
Plus, users will be able to pick between Google Assistant and Bixby as their voice assistant on the Watch 4 ‘in the coming months,’.
Lastly, Samsung is extending its WearOS partnership with Google. As a result, it will allow YouTube Music users to listen to music through Wi-Fi or LTE without having a phone nearby. However, this doesn’t sound that exciting, given that Spotify includes the ability to download tunes for offline listening.
