The long overdue driver updates for AMD’s Adrenalin 22.7.1 has finally come out and the OpenGL GPU issues are fixed. Something for the gaming community to cheer about.

Taking a page out of Nvidia’s book AMD has introduced Noise Suppression. Nvidia has a similar tool called the Broadcast app, which dials down the background noise and enhances the clarity of your microphone.

The criticism of AMD’s support for OpenGL was widely heard. The slow gaming performance, slowdowns, and freezes during gameplay were the stuff of gamer nightmares.
After the update, there will be an enhancement of up to 85% in the performance of games like Minecraft. But the best thing is that these updates are not limited to RDNA cards but are also supported by Vega and other older Polaris and similar cards.
Radeon Boost VRS Support
To improve the frame rates of games such as Resident Evil Village, Elder Ring, and VALORANT, variable rate shading is available with Radeon Boost.
Radeon Super Resolution optimizations
Updates will also include borderless full-screen gaming through Radeon Super Resolution.

Fixes in the update
The real-time effects of these updates will be that Hitman 3 will not freeze when toggling through different windows. Earlier the Auto Undervolt disabled the Zero RPM fan feature which might have been fixed by this update. Further, the company also plans on expanding the support of older Radeon GPUs such as RX 5000 and 6000 series running on AMD Ryzen processors.
Users reported that when upscaling the videos they appeared blurry in the browsers for systems running on Radeon RX 6900 XT, this update has fixed this issue.
Known Issues in AMD Software Adrenalin Edition 22.7.1
Some issues for these new updates have also been reported such as, even after closing the game the GPU performance gets stuck on 100% in the interface on devices with Radeon 570. Users of Radeon RX 6800 XT experienced flickering in the virtual reality headsets. Flickering of display and display turning black are some issues on devices with Radeon RX 6700 XT.
Game-specific issues have also been reported. The caldera map stutters while playing Call of Duty: Warzone on devices running on cards including Radeon RX 6900 XT. While playing Nioh 2 the Super Resolution might not work when changing resolutions or HDR settings.
